IICD, Edukans, ICCO and other orgs have joined forces in the Connect4Change (C4C) Alliance. The alliance has selected the Zambian economic development sector for programme implementation for the period 2011–2015. The Connect4Change Consortium consists of six Dutch NGOs, including ICCO, Edukans, Cordaid, and AKVO, and is lead by the International Institute for Communication and Development (IICD). We are pleased to announce a 2-day C4C Roundtable Workshop.
The workshop, will bring together stakeholders from, and supporters of, the economic development sector in Zambia, in order to work towards building an overarching economic development programme within the framework of the C4C alliance.
Participants will be invited to share and present their experiences on crucial issues linked to “improving the flow of information, and the system of communication, among Value Chain actors and supporters’. Particular emphasis will be placed on the roles of civil society organisations to effect long-term and sustainable changes in the sector.
Attention will also be given to the role of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
The ideas brought forward in this workshop will be the starting point of an overarching economic development programme in Zambia for the period 2011-2015;
The workshop will use participatory techniques to promote the exchange of experiences, knowledge and skills. Plenary sessions, group work and teamwork will all be part of the methodologies used in the workshop.
