UK’s ALTVEST acquires 70 p.c. Yambeeji shares

ALTERNATIVE Investments Africa (ALTVEST), a London- headquartered

firm, has acquired 70 per cent stake in YamBEEji Honey and Rice Products, a private company based in Zambezi District in North-WesternProvince.

Zambia,World bank ink $50 million loan deal

Government has signed a 50 million United States Dollars loan agreement with the World Bank for the livestock development and animal health project.

Finance Minister Alexander Chikwanda signed on behalf of the Zambian government while World Bank country Director Kadiresan Kundhavi signed on behalf of the global Bank.

Utilise potential in livestock – World Bank

THE World Bank (WB) has said Zambia should use the existing potential in the livestock sector to accelerate its economic diversification programme and national development.

World Bank country director Kundhavi Kadiresan said the livestock sector could emerge as a major industry to diversify the economy.
